It WAS that far, but it wasn’t that bad

21st Bristol Half-Marathon It’s been just over a week since I ran the Bristol Half-Marathon and I’m feeling great and hoping to run the race again next year.

I was really pleased with my final time of 2h16’25” and it was much better than I had first imagined I would do. The first half of the race was good and I made consistant mile times of about 10’30”. The middle stint was good. I really started enjoyed myself and gained some confidence. Only the latter part of the race was a little difficult. Not because I was finding it physically demanding, but purely the shear number of runners confined to smaller roads and the ability to keep to the consistant pace I had at the start, having to dodge people and make some space. Still I ran all the way round without stopping and now I’ve got a target for next year.

As many of you know I was also running in memory of Phil Gillson, at the same time raising some money for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

Thank you to all those that donated money and wished me luck. To those that are now going to dig into their pockets to help my reach my final target, thank you to you too! ;o)
